Chris Brown Pleads “Not Guilty”
R ‘N B singer Chris Brown has entered a “not guilty” plea to threatening and assaulting his girlfriend and fellow singer Rhianna.
The 19 year-old singer appeared in court with his lawyer Mark Geragos and his mother who sat in the front row teary-eyed.
He was charged in March with felony assault likely to cause great bodily injury and making criminal threats in connection to his alleged assault and beating complaint filed against him by Rihanna.
Court records show that the victim of the alleged assault was a certain Robyn F. Rhianna’s real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty.
The 21 year-old “Umbrella” singer was represented by her lawyer Donald Etra.
If convicted, Brown could face years of probation or nearly 5 years in prison.
Brown declined to comment or give an interview before and after his court appearance. Gregaros likewise refused to comment and left with his client.
