Lin Miaoke Will Play Lin Daiyu On TV!
Lin Miaoke, the girl who sang the national anthem of China entitled “Hymn to the Motherland” during the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony last August 8, 2008, is going to play the role of young Lin Daiyu in Li Shaohang’s new adaptation of “Dream of the Red Chamber” or “Hong Lou Meng.”
It can be remembered the Miaoke was the one who sat rapt on Friday night as porcelain China doll and flew like a Peter Pan over the Olympic opening ceremonies while singing “Ode To The Motherland.” A lot were claming that she was lip synching at that time.
Lin Miaoke starred in “A Dream Of Red Mansions”, which was shot in Yangshou, in east China. The Jiangsu Province of Yangzhou was featured in the film’s scenery. And now, she will make her debut in acting.
The TV series started shooting late last May and is expected to wrap up this summer. The production team is now shooting the outdoor scenes in eastern China’s gardens, lakes and water towns. Probably, the series will debut during next year’s Spring Festival holiday.
