Allison Iraheta Out Of American Idol!
Another contestant of “American Idol” went home. 16-year-old Allison Iraheta has been eliminated from the competition after being placed on the bottom two with Danny Gokey. According to Ryan Seacrest, 64 million votes were cast the night before May 5.
For the second year in a row, it’s down to just the boys on “American Idol.” The final four eviction show May 6 featured performances from No Doubt and Paul Abdul, but it was the elimination as always that was the center of attention.
Ryan asked the four what it feels like to make it this far. Kris Allen said he is amazed to be here, and he feels blessed to still be around. Simon told him to cut the humble act. For Adam Lambert, he was asked how he felt about this week’s theme and he said it was his favorite theme so far. He loved sing Led Zepplin, and he loved his outfit. On the part of Danny Gokey, he was asked about his previous night’s high note and he answered that he thought he did well at the moment, but he listened to it after the show and couldn’t stop laughing. He felt it was his funniest moment on American Idol, and he told the audience his aunt had paused the scream and joked people were already making ring tones of it. Finally, Ryan asked Allison Iraheta how she felt about the judges comments the night before. She said she didn’t want to disrespect anyone, but she couldn’t hold in her feisty side any longer.
The first contestant who was told that he was safe was Kris Allen. The three other contestants were battling for the two remaining spots. Adam Lambert took the next safe call. He indeed had a great recovery from his bottom three last week. And finally, between Danny and Allison, the latter was shown the door.
This news means that “Idol” will be visiting the hometowns of the three remaining contestants later this week as season eight steams to its May 20 conclusion.
For the next week, the three finalists will sing two songs each. One would be a song picked by the judges while the other would be their personal choice. The musical guests for Wednesday night’s show had not been announced at press time.
