Batman 3 New Riddler is Eddie Murphy
43-year-old Eddie Murphy, who starred in the “Nutty Professor” and “Beverly Hills Cop,” is reportedly taking the role of Riddler, a manic super-villain who baffles Batman with his cryptic criminal clues, for Director Christopher Nolan’s latest installment and interpretation of the comic books.
Reports showed that the star of “Pirates of the Carribean”, Johnny Depp, was also a candidate for the role which was previously played by Jim Carrey in the 1995’s Batman Forever. According to film insider, the fact of Eddie’s addition to the cast is fantastic and that everyone is excited to see how he does as the Riddler, the character which first appeared in the comics in 1948. Nonetheless, the fact that there are rumors about who shall play the roles of Batman characters confirms that there shall indeed be another Batman movie to be released in 2010.
Furthermore, it has also been claimed that actress Rachel Weisz shall be doing the role of Catwoman, and Shia LaBeouf as the next Robin. The characters of Batman and Alfred, the butler, shall remain with Christian Bale and Sir Michael Caine respectively.
