Actor James Caviezel was hurt with cuts an bruises when a Wenatchee man hurled a bicycle into the path of his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle about 14 miles south-east of Leavenworth.

Caviezel acted in Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ,” as Jesus. He was injured in the afternoon on Thursday. Trooper Rich Magnussen of the Washington State Patrol said that the actor was taken to Cascade Medical Center for treatment of cuts and bruises.

Chevron Houston Marathon registration supposed to open July 17

Friday, July 17th, 2009

The Chevron Houston Marathon registration was supposed to open on July 17, but it so far has not. A spokesman said that the registration page was not yet ready.

Excuse me, but what’s going on. How long does it possibly take for a registration page to be put up. It not someone told Chevron yesterday that the registration is going live today. Even in that case, a website with registration form could be put up.

Something smells fishy. They had ample time to prepare the page, so that excuse is so silly, its laughable.

The marathon itself is slated for 17th January 2010, and they expect to have 22,000 runners this year, compared with just 18,000 the last time.

I hope the organizers will get their act together and fix the registration page soon.
